To support the start-up of our commercial operations in Germany (Munich) and set up a whole new local operation company, we are looking for a Talent Manager.

Scope of the job

As Talent Manager, you will be responsible for attracting, interviewing and on boarding new talents for our German local operating company. You will also be involved in setting up HR processes aligning with local partners, ensuring accurate payroll and follow up of all German employees.

Your role

As Talent Manager you will be involved in attracting our future German talents ensuring the recruitment process is in line with GLPG standards and candidate experience is strong. You will partner with the local leaders to understand talent requirements and manage the whole recruitment process from a to z closely working together with the talent acquisition/HR team in our head office in Mechelen. By screening candidates through behavioral interviewing you make sure to assess their talent in the most accurate way. You will act as a true partner to your business leaders as far as talent advice is concerned.

In the start-up phase of the affiliate in Germany you will also be involved in all other HR related activities. You will be the ‘spoc’ for local partners (payroll agency, insurance companies,...) developing local HR operations. You assure general HR related administration to facilitate the start-up of the new German affiliate. You act as the primary contact for day-to-day questions of the German Galapagos colleagues.

Next to that you will closely work together with HR Business Partners in the head office to ensure alignment with all processes and the HR approach.

Job requirements

Who are you?

Passionate about people and with a true start-up mentality you make it happen in Germany. You enjoy challenges and have an agile mindset. A first HR experience (minimum 4 years) in a corporate environment will help you be successful in your job. To make sure you connect with the whole Galapagos community you communicate excellent in both English and German. You have a Bachelor or preferably a Master degree in relevant studies (HR, Business Administrative, Law, etc). Working knowledge of German employment and social security legislation is a plus. You are an excellent networker who easily connects with others and finds his/her way in an international environment. Your creative mind helps you think out-of-the-box and improves the quality of Talent Acquisition and HR experience.
