We are looking for a Scientist Translational Sciences, Fibrosis - Romainville,FR


Scope of the job

This position gives you the opportunity to support drug discovery projects in Fibrosis disease area by providing exceptional scientific and experimental skills in an exciting and dynamic environment of a well-known successful international biotech company. In order to validate our therapeutic targets, characterize the pharmacology/ mode of action of GLPG compounds and select our proprietary compounds for further development, we expect a strong background in fibrotic diseases, as well as technical supports especially in gene and protein analysis, such as RT-qPCR, transcriptomics, FACS, multiplex analysis, Western Blotting and Jess … 

You will contribute to the scientific input of the project and will provide technical and scientific expertise to the project team. You will design, organize and realize experiments and analyzes data in accordance with the project requirements and timelines. 


Job requirements

Who are you?

  • You have a PhD in Life Sciences with at least 3-5 years of demonstrated experience and track record in fibrosis diseases preferably in research of biomarker in human or murine tissues and knowledge in fibrosis diseases 
  • You have a profound knowledge in the fields of molecular and cellular biology including most common biological pathways, as well as in the field of pharmacology
  • You are able to implement cellular assays for analysis of biological function and pharmacological evaluation of new chemical entities.
  • You are experienced in a wide range of technologies (e.g. RT-qPCR, transcriptomics, proteomics, flow cytometry, ELISA, Western Blot, JESS, multiplex assays). Experience in in vivo and ex vivo pharmacology is an asset.
  • As a team player, you promote an open and supportive climate and a collaborative organization.
  • Your good presentation skills guarantee a proper communication during meetings or amongst team.
  • Well organized, you are able to handle multiple tasks and project.
