We are looking for a Scientific coordinator Seach & Evaluation – Leiden (NL)

Scope of the job

In this role, you will be part of the Search and Evaluation (SEAL) team, where you will coordinate research activities on external opportunities. You set up the research plan, identify the internal or external project team and report to the Vice President Search & Evaluation.

Your role

  • Design research plans with external party, internal R&D experts and/or CRO's
  • Selection of most suitable provider
  • Design of assays and animal experiments
  • Manage logistics of compound shipments
  • Monitor progress of experiments
  • Collect all data and assist with reporting to stakeholders
  • To keep in touch with the providers and scientific developments, you will attend partnering conferences


Requirements

Who are you?

  • MSc or PhD in life sciences or pharmaceutical sciences
  • More than 6 years of experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry post-graduation
  • Scientific background in one or more of the following fields: fibrosis, inflammation, osteoarthritis, polycystic kidney disease
  • Experience in design of cutting edge in vitro assays and animal models in various disease areas
  • Experience in evaluation of compounds in assays and animal models
  • Well-organized, excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent English writing and speaking skills
  • Familiar with drug pharmacology
  • Familiar with writing MTAs
  • Preferably worked in licensing teams before
  • Preferably has a strong network in the pharmaceutical industry
