For our site in ROMAINVILLE, France we are looking for a

Professional Technician (Permanent contract) in Translational Science department

 

Scope of the job

You will join a research team to support projects in different therapeutic areas including fibrosis and metabolic diseases. You will be involved in the identification and validation (both technical and biological) of biomarkers on blood and diverse tissues from mouse and human.

In this context, you will participate in the validation of our therapeutic targets in animal disease models, the evaluation of the activity and the characterization of the mode of action of our compounds. You will also participate to the development of biomarker for clinical development. All this is done in a team-oriented, result-driven, international research environment.

 

Your role

Within the Translational Science team, your activity will be mainly related to some research projects in Fibrosis and Metabolism. Your main responsibilities will be the analysis of biological material treated, ex vivo or in vivo, with the molecules worked in the laboratory to define their mode of action, their activity on certain pathways and biological functions. In this context, you propose, set up and realize various protocols, methods necessary for your experiments according to the standards. The technical approaches apply to different types of biological material such as cells, whole blood, biological fluids, tissue explants and tissue biopsies. You identify the most relevant technical approaches and analytical methods for your studies. You perform laboratory experiments independently and / or in a team, following validated protocols or as directed by your manager. You provide a critical and constructive analysis of the results obtained. In addition, you document your work in industry-standard lab books, report on it, and present it to your project manager.

 

Requirements

 

Who are you?

You have a Bachelor degree in Life Sciences with at least 3 years of experience, ideally in pharmaceutical industry.

You have good experience in the practice of biological tests as well as technical knowledge in cell and molecular biology. You know and have worked with at least some of the following technologies (luminescent and fluorescent readings, RT-qPCR, flow cytometry, ELISA, Western Blot). In vivo and ex vivo pharmacology experience is an asset.

You are rigorous and work with precision. You have good organizational skills, as well as interpersonal skills and communication skills. You work effectively in a team environment while showing independence. You have the ability to provide accurate work and reports.

You show flexibility and rapid adaptation to new goals.
