We are looking for a Principal Technician in vitro biology Immune-Inflammation and Osteoarthritis- Romainville,FR

 

Scope of the job

As member of a research team, you will contribute to the technical input of the project as assigned to the in vitro cell team. You will provide technical expertise in Immune-Inflammation and Osteoarthritis to the project team. You will design, organize and realizes your assay in order to obtain the required scientific data, in compliance with the project timeline.

Your accountabilities

  • Actively follow literature around new methods in order to assimilate it and translate into experimental design
  • Within the biology cell team, your activity will be mainly related to some research projects in inflammation and osteoarthritis diseases. You will be accountable for the analysis of treated biological material, ex vivo or in vitro with the molecules worked in the laboratory to define their mode of action, their activity on certain pathways and biological functions.
  • In this context, you perform laboratory experiments independently and / or in a team, following validated protocols or as directed by your manager. You provide a critical and constructive analysis of the results obtained. In addition, you document your work in industry-standard lab books, report on it, and present it to your project manager.

 

Job requirements

Who are you?

  • Bachelor degree in Life Sciences with at least 3 years of experience, ideally in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in the practice of biological tests as well as technical knowledge in cell and molecular biology and you know and have worked with at least some of the following technologies (luminescent and fluorescent readings, RT-qPCR, flow cytometry, ELISA, Western Blot). In vitro and ex vivo cell pharmacology experience is an asset.
  • Rigorous and work with precision. with good organizational skills, as well as interpersonal skills and communication skills. 
  • Have the ability to provide accurate work and reports.
  • Show flexibility and rapid adaptation to new goals.
  • Fluent in English, both in writing and verbal
