We are looking for a Marketing & Communication Buyer - Paris, FR; Mechelen, BE or Munich, DE


Scope of the job:

The Marketing & Communication Buyer will be responsible of initiating and executing procurement projects related to commercial categories (Marketing, Market Research, Medical Education, Events, Digital) in alignment with Business priorities and Procurement strategies.


Your role:

  • Support internal stakeholders from HQ and European countries in a smart and collaborative way
  • Drive sourcing and lead tendering process
  • Identify opportunities of costs optimization and timelines/quality improvements
  • Support in setting-up contracts
  • Operational procurement tasks management
  • Contribute to an efficient supplier’s relationship and assess performance according to the Supplier Management Framework (SMF) requirements
  • Contribution and execution of procurement strategies

Principal Accountabilities:

- Understand Business requirements and plan for efficient support (RFP or any other Procurement activity)

- Constantly dig on the market to create intelligence and identify innovative suppliers

- Use vendor management skills and tools to track and develop vendor performance and vendor relationships

- Create & share category best practices to support stakeholders

- Contracting: Systematically and efficiently, support in legal contract review, approval of financial terms and conditions, compliance to maximize   financial and operational performance and minimize risk.

- Understand and adhere to the organization's policies and procedures and relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct


Job requirements

Who are you ?

Education

An education at university level is required (Master’s degree in purchasing or business administration).

Experience

A minimum of 3 years procurement experience in an international environment

Marketing and communication procurement experience ideally in pharmaceutical industry

General Skills

  • Strong communication skills and team spirit are essential for success. The candidate should be able and have the willingness to work within a high growing organization of highly educated, experienced professionals
  • Ability to collect and analyze complex data to provide meaningful data trends and insights
  • Use key sourcing tools and techniques in line with the approved strategic sourcing methodology
  • High energy level and a drive to set up the right process culture within the marketing/commercial teams
  • He/she is result driven, dynamic and flexible. Strong work ethics are expected as well as talent for project leadership

Specific Skills

  • Fluent English speaker. Additional languages German, French would be an advantage
  • Good negotiation and analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and communicative strengths to support Commercial business functions
  • Curiosity and interest in working in a scientific/medical environment
  • Hands-on attitude and result oriented
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • The flexibility and independence to work in a changing and unstructured environment

  • Ability to travel from time to time within Europe
  • Partial home office (up to 3 days a week)
