International Marketing Strategy Lead IBD - remote position

We are looking for an International Marketing Strategy Lead for IBD to join our Headquarter Marketing team.

This position can be located in any of our existing EU entities (see above).

Scope of the job

The Marketing Strategy Lead will be responsible for leading, developing and implementing the brand and marketing strategy for IBD indications (UC and CD) of our first commercialized product. 

The Marketing Strategy Lead will report to the Marketing Head and will work in partnership with the commercial, market access and medical colleagues and will ensure seamless launch execution, in line with business strategy and goals.

Your role

  • Lead and actively own the development of the integrated cross functional gastroenterology brand strategy
  • Lead the gastroenterology marketing tactical planning and its implementation
  • Lead the development of the hero content in gastroenterology and creatives including campaigns
  • Collaborate with Insights team on the set up of the right market analysis to collect all relevant strategic information
  • Support countries with coordination of the localization and customization of materials including running campaigns
  • Demonstrate strong marketing functional competence as well as strong analytical capabilities and sound, broader strategic business judgment.
  • Be able to represent Galapagos externally

Job requirements

Who are you?

  • You have a university degree (Science, Medical, Economics, Marketing).
  • At least 7/ 10 years of marketing/brand management experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech environment with international relevant experience
  • Experience in successful product launches in a very competitive area
  • Inflammation experience is a strong asset
  • Proven ability to analyze markets and competition
  • Proven ability to have impact in a matrix organization and engagement of teams
  • High adaptability and flexibility
  • Good knowledge of medical processes.
  • A multitasker keeping his/her cool when confronted with large amounts of work in a challenging and changing/agile environment
  • Experienced in successful cross-functional teamwork
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Role involves travel so working flexibility is required
  • Fluent in English, any other language is an asset
