We are looking for an International Compensation & Benefits Specialist – Mechelen, BE

Scope of the job

As a member of the Total Rewards team, the International Comp & Ben Specialist plays a vital role in driving our Compensation & Benefits programs at all Galapagos’ locations.

Your role:

  • Help with rolling out the annual comp cycle (performance reviews, calibration, salary, bonus, warrants, restricted share units) and related communication
  • Participate in the annual compensation surveys, apply the data to our local salary structures and benefits packages and formulate recommendations
  • Follow up any changes in statutory and regulatory requirements in the different countries and ensure compliance
  • Support & monitor the different remuneration & benefit policies in the 10 countries and proactively manage benefit providers, consultants and benefit administration providers in the development and pricing analysis of benefit options and programs

Job requirements

Who are you

  • Preferably a Master degree with at least 5-6 years of relevant international Comp & Ben experience 
  • Experience in the Life Sciences & Health Care sector is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of local (BE) and international social & tax legislation
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to effectively and timely manage a diverse workload
  • Professional communication skills in Dutch and English, both in writing and verbally
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good analytical and coordinating abilities
  • Proficiency in computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
