We are looking for an intern that will join the Protein Science team based in Romainville, France

6 months starting Jan or Feb 2022

Scope of the job

The mission of the Protein Science team is the production, purification and characterization of recombinant proteins which are employed in our research programs. These protein tools are used for number of applications including biochemical and cellular assays, High-Throughput Screening, and Biophysical approaches including X-ray Crystallography and Cryo-Electron microscopy (Cryo-EM).

Your role

  • Perform and optimize the purification of therapeutically targetable proteins for use in biochemical assays, cellular assays, and High-Throughput Screening. Various chromatography techniques will be utilized (affinity, ion-exchange, size exclusion…)
  • Characterization and quality-control of these proteins using biophysical techniques (X-ray crystallography, Nano Differential Scanning Fluorimetry, Multiangle Laser Light Scattering…)
  • Critical analysis of macromolecular protein structures generated by experimental methods

Job requirements

Who are you ?

  • Currently in the final year of a Master 2 or 5th Year of an Engineering School
  • Consistently achieving excellent grades
  • You are flexible, autonomous, and have a high attention to detail
  • A good understanding of fundamental Biochemistry
  • Team player with excellent communication skills (English and French)
  • References encouraged and prior hands-on lab experience would be a plus
