For our site in France we are looking for a Human Resources Manager

 

Scope of the job

As HR Manager France you partner with business leaders at all levels to help develop the organization and manage talent in line with Galapagos’ growth business strategy.

Through workforce insights and analytics you strengthen and empower the human capital at Galapagos France and you ensure the execution of all HR operations.


Your role

  • You are the spokesperson for all people and organisational related matters in France and align with Head office and other Galapagos affiliates when necessary
  • You partner with leaders and teams in various HR domains to develop and implement people processes and plans
  • You work closely together with HR expert teams in Head office (Talent Acquisition, Total Reward, Talent Development….)
  • You identify leadership and capability development needs and take necessary actions, aligned with your HR colleagues in the other locations
  • You are the driver of all talent processes for the French organization; performance management and promotions, talent development review, workforce forecast and you execute them
  • You make sure global strategy is translated into local practices and support your business in all HR related matters
  • You act as an example for your HR colleagues
  • You make sure all on boarding of new staff goes smoothly and actively support this process together with the HR team and the relevant hiring managers
  • You have oversight of the local HR team who ensure that all HR operations and payroll runs smoothly

Requirements

 

Who are you?

Our ideal candidate is a ‘do-er’ and ‘thinker’ with at least 10 years of experience in HR in preferably life science or biotech organization. A team player who welcomes the opportunity to work across boundaries on various projects for the Galapagos group. Agility is your middle name and you can work in a fast growing and changing environment.

You have a strong business mind-set and are passionate about people and HR. You are a no-nonsense person bringing value to the team and Galapagos through experience and knowledge of the business.

Your curiosity helps you to understand Galapagos business and manage innovation in HR and people processes.

Strong in analytics and with a solutions driven mind-set, you are able to support your business in all people related matters with a hands-on mentality driving operational excellence.

Your empathy is outstanding and you are a strong communicator with influential leadership skills without authority.
