We are looking for an Enabling Technology Leader - Romainville,FR/Mechelen,BE


Scope of the job

As an expert member of the Late Discovery group, you will provide drug delivery expertise and lead efforts towards bringing new technologies that will enable novel modalities beyond small molecules to achieve their potential.  You will be expected to provide scientific direction, provide project support and devise delivery strategies. You will closely work together with other disciplines within our Discovery organization to expand our drug modalities beyond small molecules. Frequent interactions with external research groups and service providers are key.


Principal Accountabilities:

You will be responsible for the introduction of new technologies for effective delivery of oligonucleotides and other modalities to the tissue and cellular site of interest. As such you are  expected to have a major impact on the growth of our Discovery Enabling Platform by:

  • Actively collaborate with other areas of expertise in order to advance our delivery capabilities aligned with our emerging portfolio of new modalities.
  • Building a network with academic groups, delivery companies and service providers to onboard effective delivery technologies.
  • Keeping abreast of current and novel technologies and delivery platforms for enhancing the drugability of new modalities

Job requirements

Who are you?

  • Ph.D. in relevant scientific discipline followed by post-doctoral training or relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with proven track record of project delivery
  • Experience in applying novel technologies to effective delivery of novel modalities
  • Background in formulation or material sciences is a plus
  • Ability to bring new ideas and have strong creativity to tackle challenging issue
  • Able to delegate, motivate and empower people
  • Good communication and presentation skills with excellent command of the English language is a must
