We are looking for an Associate Scientist Biomarker Translational Research -  Romainville,FR


Core Purpose of Job:

As member of a research team, you contribute to the technical input of the project you are assigned to. You will provide technical expertise in Translational Research and Biomarker discovery to the project team. You will design, organize and realize your assays in order to obtain the scientific data required, in compliance with the project timeline. Additionally, you will contribute to Human Biospecimen management and registration under the supervision of the Biobank manager.

More in detail you will:

  • Independently organise and run complex ex vivo cell based and tissue-explant based assays in compliance with the project requirement;
  • Be accountable of the accuracy of results; analyse compliancy of data regarding the required one; identify gap and implement corrective measure
  • Suggest idea or innovation in order to solve any issue faced in his / her own area of expertise
  • Propose or implement innovative equipment, technic or technology,
  • Identify samples to be added into the Biobank & register them into the database
  • Contribute to the level of productivity in the laboratory and to the laboratory management,
  • Actively follow literature around new methods in the biomarker field in order to assimilate it and translate into experimental design,


Job requirements

Who are you?

  • Master in life sciences and 2 or 3+ years of experience, biotech and/or pharma preferred
  • Experience in cell biology and using electronic lab notebook.
  • Experience in cell culture, hands on flow cytometry (multiparametric analysis), protein and nucleic acid extraction, qPCR, ELISA, MSD, Luminex protein analysis. Previous experience working with blood and tissues.
  • Knowledge in Human Biospecimen regulation and biobanking usage is a plus.
  • Knowledge or experience in one of the following areas: inflammation, fibrosis, kidney diseases; is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (French/English)
