For our site in Romainville, France (or alternatively Leiden, Netherlands) we are looking for a Pharmacometrician


Scope of the job

Within the Clinical Pharmacology department, you will apply quantitative approaches to understand the pharmacokinetics of novel compounds and to inform the design of clinical pharmacology studies. The focus is on extrapolation from animal to human, drug-drug interaction, and formulation development (IVIVc).


Your role

  • Manage and apply PBPK and population PK modelling in close collaboration with the Clinical Pharmacology leaders, Pharmacometrics experts, and external partners
  • Help maintaining and improving the PBPK workflow with focus on traceability and documentation
  • Contribute to pharmacometric reports and presentations for internal decision making and interaction with regulatory agencies
  • Communicate results of the analyses to project teams (Clinical Development Team or Project Team)
  • You will report to the Head of Pharmacometrics.


Job requirements

Who are you?

  • PhD or MSc in quantitative pharmacology, applied mathematics, or related field with a special focus on (population) pharmacokinetics and PBPK modelling.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Preclinical (DMPK) or Clinical Development in Pharmaceutical Industry, Contract Research Organizations or academia, of which some years applying PBPK modelling.
  • Hands-on experience with PBPK software, such as PKSIM/MOBI, SimCyp, and Gastroplus. Proficiency in R, Matlab, Python or similar programming language is required.
  • Experience with one or more population modelling software (Monolix, NONMEM or similar) as well as the concept of “Model informed Drug Discovery and Development is desirable”.
  • You know how to work independently and within a team and to set priorities when working on several projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and oral communication in English.
