For this reason, we are looking for an Associate HR Business Partner to support both our commercial and development (mainly medical affairs) departments.
Scope of the job
As an Associate HR business partner, you will help shape and lead a futureproof people organization delivering business ambition in terms of innovation. You enable leaders to manage people and teams and act as a strategic partner to your business leadership team. You are the HR representative for all employees in your business area ensuring the well-being of the people of Galapagos. This role will require traveling approximately 30% of the time in Europe.
You partner with your respective business to co-create a futureproof development and commercial organisation with an international footprint.
The main focus of the role will be:
You help create high performing teams and focus on the growth and development of the leaders and employees.
With the build-up of the countries, you ensure that the Galapagos culture is well embedded, lived, and celebrated.
You manage employee relations and develop strong and trusting relations with colleagues and stakeholders.
You work closely together with the HRBP Development and Commercial as well as HR experts in Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits as well as Talent Development to ensure a state of the art HR approach.
You drive the people strategy and make sure you connect and align with all your international HR colleagues.
You support and coordinate all employee lifecycle processes in your business such as performance management, learning & development, promotions, compensation and talent reviews.
You participate in talent & resource planning and organisation design.
You identify management and leadership development needs and ensure they get integrated into the total Talent development plan by our Head of Learning Agility
You actively contribute to the design and implementation of innovative HR projects.
You promote a no-nonsense culture and a ‘can-do’ mentality and act as an example.
You enable leaders to manage people and teams with high quality. You are the HR representative for all employees in your business area and ensure the well-being of the people of Galapagos.
The ideal candidate has:
You represent the ‘human’ in your title and combine this with a strong business mindset. Your middle name is ‘innovation’ and you are able to think out of the box to drive a futureproof HR organisation. You are a problem solver ‘pur sang’ and you think in solutions. You get energy from the opportunity to optimize or create something from scratch.
Our preferred location is Mechelen, Belgium but we are open to countries which we are operating in.
