We are looking for a Technician in analytical and organic chemistry

Scope of the job

As part of the medicinal chemistry group, you will be a technical support in analytical chemistry to the organic synthesis. According to priorities, you will participate to basic organic synthesis and to the general activity of the department.    

Your role

Under the guidance of experienced scientists, you will be in charge of:

• isolating, characterizing and ensuring compounds registration in our database of synthetic molecules purified by prep HPLC,
• performing compound management tasks such as weighing of compounds in powder format, compound dissolution, and preparation of compound solutions into vials and/or plated formats,
• providing analytical and purification support to the medicinal chemistry team in the area of UPLC and prep HPLC when needed,
• running chemical analyses and assess purity/enantiomeric purity of samples using HPLC and NMR,
• maintaining state of the art knowledge in the field of analytical chemistry in general and the above mentioned techniques in particular,
• monitoring reagent stocks and participating to simple library synthesis,
• ordering laboratory consumables,
• participating to laboratory inventories.

Who are you ?

You hold a BTS/DUT (or equivalent) in Chemistry and you are looking for a first experience.

You have a high level of self-organization and are able to adjust yourself to the workload. You are professionally curious and want to learn and evolve in chemistry area.

Your communication skills allow you to be an efficient team member. Ability of speaking and written English is appreciated (CV in English is mandatory); your work environment will daily use English.

Good user of Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
