We are looking for a Service Desk Engineer - Mechelen,BE

 

Scope of the job

You will report to the Service Desk Manager and will be responsible for supporting, documenting, monitoring and maintaining the complete IT infrastructure and architecture in close operation with the application and infrastructure teams; installing and maintaining client software, drivers, patches and upgrades; and delivering high level support (including remote support activities). You will work in a small international team that provides IT-based services to all employees across the company.

 

As a Service Desk Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the agreed Service Levels with our Business
  • First Point of Contact for Service Request Escalations
  • Following the Procedure of Single Point of Entry for logging of Customer Service Requests
  • Creating and Maintaining Procedures, Checklists and Documentation
  • Minimizing recurring Service Requests through proactive improvement steps

Requirements

Who are you?

  • You have a Bachelor degree or equivalent through experience; 
  • You have 1 of 2 years of relevant experience.  
  • You are assertive and stress-resistant. 
  • You are able to handle multiple issues concurrently.  
  • You can easily adapt to new circumstances and technologies. 
  • You are solution oriented, proactive and client focused. 
  • You speak Dutch and English fluently, French is an Asset.

You have the following technical knowledge:

  • Desktop support (Windows 7, Windows 10).
  • Thorough knowledge of support in a Microsoft server environment (Win2008R2, Win2012, AD, DHCP, DNS)
  • VMWare Infrastructure.
  • MS Office.
  • MS SharePoint.
  • Backup and DR solutions
  • Basic knowledge of Linux.
