We are looking for Value and Market Access (V&MA) Leader
Scope of the job
The Value & Market Access (V&MA) function at Galapagos is responsible for demonstrating and communicating the value of Galapagos and our products to ensure that patients have timely access to treatments that improve and extend their lives.
The Value & Market Access Lead will lead the development of payer strategies and that reflect value to health systems, the medical community and patients. Accordingly we are looking for someone who is able to develop payer strategies and communicate clear and well thought-out recommendations through strong leadership. Someone who can ensure that the market access strategies are aligned with corporate, medical and commercial strategies is critical as Galapagos takes a cross-functional team approach to making a difference for patients with rare and debilitating diseases.
We are interested in hiring someone who is able to deliver a range of activities and highly visible projects to ensure a strong understanding of the evolving payers and competitors as well as to chart the course for the future of our pipeline. This person will lead the payer strategy for one or more of our pipeline products and will drive strategic decision making in cross-functional teams for a novel, first-in-class specialty product that aims to make a true difference in the lives of patients. Someone who understands global payer needs and value drivers would be ideal for this role.
Who are you?
You are a professional preferably with an MBA or other graduate degrees. You have at least 8 years global or regional industry experience and preferably at least 3 years of experience in the value, market access, or pricing functions. You are someone with superior analytical skills who can figure out tough problems and to craft thoughtful, clear, and logical strategy plans that act as central roadmaps towards payer success. You have excellent project management skills, in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated ability to lead multiple workstreams and priorities. You should have demonstrated an ability to make decisions in the face of uncertainty and to chart the course for smart payer strategies. Last but not least you have outstanding written and verbal communication skills. You are here to work within Galapagos to unlock the value that our medicines bring to patients, HCPs through smart success with payers.
